Assistant Superintendent of Fiscal Services
ABOUT THE POSITION
Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent of Fiscal Services directs the operations and administration of Goleta Union School District’s (District) Fiscal Services Division; Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation; Food Services; and the Technology Services Division. This position directs and administers the operations of the District and manages the financial resources available to the District in a manner leading to the maximization of resources devoted to educational services. This position is regularly involved in developing action plans and budgets for effective use of funds and other resources that assure efficient district-wide services to the District. The District has a General Fund budget of $76 million and is a community-funded district. The District is also supported by bonds.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have:
A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
A master’s degree in business or related area from an accredited college or university is desirable
A CPA certificate and/or participation in a certificated program in school business is desirable
Five years of progressive and increased responsibility and experience in public school business administration and finances or comparable experience in financial management and oversight of business services in a related field
Experience in PK-6 support services
SALARY
The salary range for this position is $191,967-$211,947. In addition to this salary, a benefits package is offered. Additional earnings include an annual stipend of $1,000 for a doctorate degree.
