The Chief Business Officer (CBO), reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, manages and oversees the business and financial operations of the school, including budgeting, payroll, purchasing, facilities, nutrition, information technology, and risk management. ABOUT THE DISTRICT
The Accelerated Schools (TAS) is currently seeking a CBO to join an exceptional team of educators who are committed to building a world-class educational program that offers a mix of academic, cultural, and community-focused programming for the youth of South Los Angeles. We believe that all students can excel when nurtured in a school environment that combines high expectations for students, and active involvement from parents and the community. TAS is comprised of one TK-6 school, one TK-8 school, and one high school with approximately 1,740 students enrolled.
TAS is funded by Fund 62 with a budget of $44.6 million and is supported by the Accelerated School Foundation.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, or a combination of relevant education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, school administration, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred
Experience in public school business operations in a supervisory or management role
Completion of CBO program certification or training is preferred
CPA license is preferred
SALARY
The salary for this position is $200,000 to $230,000. In addition to this salary, a generous benefits package is offered, including 100% paid health benefits for employees and family.
