The California Department of Education (CDE) has opened a new Resource Code (7388) within the Standardized Account Code Structure to account for the costs for protective equipment and cleaning funds pursuant to Senate Bill (SB) 117 (COVID-19 emergency relief bill).
SB 117 appropriates $100 million to enable local educational agencies to purchase protective equipment or pay for supplies and labor related to cleaning school sites, or both, as reported earlier in “Ask SSC . . . Which Districts Qualify to Receive Funding from the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Bill?” in the current issue of the Fiscal Report.
