On October 6, 2020, the California Department of Education (CDE) published a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page for local educational agencies (LEAs) pursuing funding in 2020–21 for projected growth in average daily attendance (ADA) or enrollment. The FAQs supplement an application that eligible LEAs must complete on or before November 6, 2020, in order to receive the growth funding (see “By the Way . . . The CDE Releases Application for Growth Funding” in the September 2020 issue of the Fiscal Report). In order to be eligible to receive funding, LEAs must have included projected growth in enrollment or ADA in its 2020–21 budget that was adopted by June 30, 2020, or in its adopted 2019–20 second interim report.
